On Saturday, September 5th, 2015, at approximately 1:45am, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office E911 Center recieved an emergency call of a traffic crash on Sth.23 in the Township of Brooklyn. A City of Green Lake Police Officer arrived at 1:48am followed by a Sheriff’s Deputy and other emergency responders. The single vehicle crash was located just west of the City of Green Lake.

Law enforcement officers arriving on the scene discovered a single vehicle crash with four total victims. Two victims were from Princeton and two from Kenosha. One victim was seriously injured and was transported by helicopter to a local hosiptal. The female victim flown by helicopter, from Kenosha, Wisconsin, later died. The other occupants are expected to survive their injuries.

Initial observations are that a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling East on Sth.23 at South Lawson Drive when control of the vechicle was lost causing the Blazer to cross the west-bound lane of traffic and enter the North ditch. The vehicle overturned crushing the roof. The exact cause of the crash has yet to be determined.

This incident was responded to by the City of Green Lake Police, Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Green Lake/Brooklyn Fire Department, Green Lake EMS/Paramedic Unit, Green Lake/Brooklyn First Responders, Green Lake County Coroner and District Attorney, and the Wisconsin State Patrol Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit.

This case remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, and Green Lake County Coroners Office.
