UPDATE: Attempted Homicide by Arson and Theft

Early Sunday morning, the Green Lake County E911 Communications Center received a call of an intentionally set fire within a home on Rex St. in the Town of Marquette, near the Southwest corner of Big Green Lake.

An elderly male party reported that his 57 year old daughter had intentionally set a number of fires inside of his residence. The adult female had left the scene, the fires were out, and no-one was injured.

Green Lake Sheriff’s Officials obtained a temporary felony warrant for the daughter, Cynthia L. Stark-Griffin for Attempted Homicide and Arson to a Residence.

On November 8, 2016 at approximately 12:15 p.m the West Bend Police Department responded to a 911 call made by a sales clerk who had heard about the incident via a press release and recognized Stark-Griffin. West Bend Police Department arrived on the scene and took Stark-Griffin into custody without incident.

The case remains under investigation by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Marquette Fire Department.

Early Sunday morning, 3:23am, the Green Lake County E911 Communications Center received a call of an intentionally set fire within a home on Rex St. in the Town of Marquette. This location is near the Southwest corner of Big Green Lake.

Deputies arriving on the scene took information and evidence concerning an elderly male party who reported that a 57 year old relative, his daughter, had intentionally set a number of fires inside of his residence. The adult female had left the scene, the fires were out, and no-one was injured.

Green Lake Sheriff’s Officials have obtained a temporary felony warrant for Attempted Homicide and Arson to a Residence. Sheriff’s Officials are searching for:

Suspect: Cynthia L. Stark-Griffin Female/White Age: 57 of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Height: 504 Weight: 150 Blonde Hair and Hazel Eyes. Clothing description is unknown.

Vehicle: 2005 Ford Freestar Van, Color of Silver,

License Plate Number of #376WAV / Kentucky

***Caution*** The suspect may be mentally unstable and may also be in possession of a 9mm handgun and a shotgun. The suspect also has two dogs with her that are reportedly vicious.

The suspect sleeps in her vehicle in hotel parking lots and other public places. She is believed to be in Southeastern Wisconsin currently.

This case remains under investigation by the Marquette Fire Department and Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
