Information:

At approximately 11:42am, on Thursday, August 4, 2016, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s E911 center received a call for rescue and medical assistance from a woods in the Township of Marquette, Green Lake County. According to the caller, an individual had fallen from an elevated deer hunting stand and landed in a ravine. Emergency services and law enforcement were dispatched.
At approximately 11:46am, a Green Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived on the scene followed by Fire, Rescue, and Ambulance. A 19 year old Waupun male was found to be at the bottom of a ravine near a creek and appeared to have fallen from an elevation of about 20 feet. Extrication from the ravine was conducted and the injured male was then transported by emergency medical helicopter to a local hospital for treatment. The male party is reported to be in stable condition.
This incident was responded to by Southern Green Lake County Ambulance, Green Lake County Med1 Paramedic Unit, Markesan Fire/Rescue, and the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
While this incident remains under investigation, foul play is not currently suspected as this appears to be an accidental fall.
