On Friday, June 10, 2016, 2:25am, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a single vehicle crash on Forest St. within the Village of Kingston. The reporting party stated that there was one male involved who was seriously injured.
Emergency service units began to arrive at 2:30am. Lifesaving efforts were started, and the operator, lone male occupant, was then transported to Waupun Hospital in Waupun. The male party, a 54 year old Marquette resident, was later pronounced deceased.
Preliminary indications are that the operator, driving a 1997 GMC truck, was northbound on Forest St. and left the roadway, then entering a ditch. The vehicle then struck a tree and came to rest. Speed and alcohol may be factors in this crash. The name of the deceased is being held pending notice to family.
Responding units to this crash were the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Markesan Police Department, Kingston Fire Department, Southern Green Lake County Emergency Medical Services and Paramedic Unit, and Green Lake County Coroner.
This fatal crash remains under investigation by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Coroners Office.
