Information:

On 04/16/15, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office received information of a male subject who was found passed out in a motor vehicle in Fond du Lac County with a needle sticking in his arm. The subject did regain consciousness and drove away into Green Lake County before Law Enforcement and EMS arrived. The subject and vehicle were located at a private residence, not his residence, in Green Lake County and was taken into custody by Sheriff’s Office staff without incident. He admitted to using Heroin 10 minutes prior. The subject was taken to Berlin Hospital for treatment and was then transported to the Green Lake County Jail and booked on charges of Operating Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated 5th Offense, Operating after Revocation, and a Probation Hold.

The information provided to our agency by alert citizens as to the suspects whereabouts was an integral part of the suspect being taken into custody with no further danger to the public. This event occurred one day after a community informational summit event was held in Markesan on the dangers and problems of Heroin use in our communities.
