UPDATE:

Concerning the bicycle fatal incident from Friday, September 23, 2016, the name of the deceased male party is being released:  

Mr. Kenneth Prol, Age 65, of Randolph, Wisconsin.

No new details are available concerning the crash, this case remains under investigation by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Green Lake County Coroners Office.

On Friday, September 23, 2016, 10:04am, the Green Lake County E911 Communications Center received a call of a bicycle related incident where the subject involved was unresponsive. The location of the incident was reported to be on Valley Rd. at Cth.X in the Township of Manchester, southern Green Lake County. Emergency services, rescue, and Deputy staff were dispatched to the scene.

With the first Deputy arriving at 10:11am, Emergency Services and Rescue shortly thereafter, life saving efforts were started, however, the individual was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the deceased, a 65 year old Randolph male, is not being released pending notice to family.
While this case remains under investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies do know that the male was riding a bicycle on Valley Rd. at Cth.X headed north when he entered the east ditch, was separated from the bicycle and came to a rest near a cornfield. Foul play is not suspected, however, an autopsy is being performed and the crash is being reconstructed by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Units responding to the scene were the Southern Green Lake County Ambulance, Markesan Fire and Rescue, Green Lake County Coroner, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
